Well its been a while since my last blog entry . i have moved home and studio over the mid year break and it has taken some time to adjust to the new space ,its a lot smaller but also allot cosier ,anyway back to business . The first artist book is still in progress the plans are finalised and at the moment i am painstakingly sticking all the individual pages together to form a solid block to cut into , but while that is going on i have decided to produce another book in my digital class involving images created with photo shop. The idea for this next book is a time capsule for the year 2008, it will be a fold out circular book which will hold loose pages with images, that's all i am going to say on this project for the moment and here is an image that is ready for the book for your viewing.

New project coming up soon ,its an "artist book" so far i have seen many examples of artist books . The most interesting books to me were old books that were recycled into new concepts, especially books that had pieces cut out or cut into them as they not only serve the idea of an artist book but stand alone as a sculpture as well.
So far i have found an old book on electrical wiring an have started to stick pages together ,the idea is to cut out a shape of a bomb into the pages and replace the space with a smaller book in the same shape outlining the dangers of playing with fire.
The artist book will be a playful experiment with little text but a strong message and hopefully a little surprising.
Above are some images of the book one is of the cover and the other is of the back pages were the is a first aid section, i think i will keep this page .
